Deborah Birch Case Study

Deborah first contacted us as she was looking for a job in the Animal Care industry. Deborah was struggling to find a job and getting disheartened. Deborah attended an interview and was told all about the course and what the best options were in looking for a job. This gave Deborah a new spurt to keep looking for a job.

 

ProCo supported Deborah with updating her CV and advised her to try local places for work experience and voluntary work. ProCo kept Deborah informed of any jobs that we heard about and Deborah successfully gained employment in a veterinary practice.

 

Deborah contacted us to inform us that she had been successful and had discussed training with her employer but they where going to settle Deborah in first. Once Deborah was settled in her job and with the commitment and support of her employer she started to train for the Animal Care level 2 qualification. Due to Deborah’s age, WBL funding was not available but we had access to Train to Gain funding for over 25’s. This meant that Deborah was able to start her training and work towards a recognised qualification that is supporting her job role at the veterinary practice and expanding her knowledge.
