Business and Admin

The programme offers young people the opportunity to achieve City & Guilds and EDI qualifications in administration and designated Key Skills whilst gaining practical work experience. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G).

Apprentices follow an approved framework of training at Level 2 or Level 3 that will meet the different needs of both small and large organisations.

NVQ Level 2 in Business & Administration

• three additional units from a wide selection of topics including:
  Dealing with visitors, Use IT systems, Research and report information, Manage diary systems

NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration

• Carry out your responsibilities at work
• Work within your business environment
• four additional units from a wide selection of topics including: Plan, organise and support meetings, Make a presentation, Design and produce documents,
  Manage and evaluate customer relations.

Technical Certificates/Key Skills

Half day release for 4 weeks to cover the underpinning knowledge and preparation for completing portfolios and testing.

Customer Service

This programme aims to enable learners to develop specific customer
service skills and apply them in practical situations in the workplace. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G).

NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service

• Prepare yourself to deliver good Customer Service
• Provide Customer Service within the rules

Plus five optional units from a selection of topics including:

• Deal with customers by telephone
• Deliver reliable Customer Service
• Resolve Customer Service problems
• Develop Customer Service improvements

NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service

• Understand Customer Service to improve service delivery

• Know the rules to follow when developing Customer Service

Plus six optional units from a selection of topics including:

• Organise the promotion of services or products to customers

• Organise the delivery of reliable Customer Service

• Process Customer Service complaints
• Gather, analyse and interpret customer feedback

Retail Operations

This programme aims to enable learners to develop specific retailing skills and apply them in practical situations in the workplace; in both small and large organisations. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G)

NVQ Level 2 in Retail Operations

The is one madatory unit - Work effectively in your retail team. 

Plus five additional units from a wide selection of topics including:
Stock, storage and order processing, preparing products for sale, merchandising and selling, customer services, hygiene and goods movement.

NVQ Level 3 in Retail Operations

The is one madatory unit - Work effectively in your retail organisation.

Plus six additional units from a wide selection of topics including; sales professional, visual merchandising and management.

Housing

This qualification offers the opportunity to achieve a City & Guilds award in Housing directly related to the Housing workplace. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G)

NVQ Level 2 in Housing

There are four core units:

• H1 - Maintain Open and Honest Relationships with Customers
• H2 - Provide information to customers
• H3 – Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and others
• H4 – Monitor and maintain health, safety and security

Plus three additional units from a wide selection of topics including:

• Processing documents relating to housing services 
• responding to customer enquiries and concerns
• hold meetings with customers and others 
• promote effective communication and relationships

Accountancy

The programme offers young people the opportunity to achieve AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications in accounting along with Key Skills units whilst gaining practical work experience. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G)

NVQ Level 2 in Accounting Seven units:

• Making and recording payments
• Preparing ledger balances and an initial trial balance
• Recording income and receipts
• Supplying information for management control
• Working with information technology
• Health and safety
• Achieving personal effectiveness

NVQ Level 3 in Accounting Five units

• Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts
• Preparing reports and returns
• Recording cost information
• Using information technology
• Health and safety (if not already achieved Level 2 Accounting)

Motor Vehicle

This programme aims to enable learners to develop Motor Vehicle
Engineering skills, and apply them in practical situations in the workplace. This programme can be funded as Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G), or Foundation Learning.

The programme offers young people the opportunity to achieve National Accredited qualifications in Motor Vehicle Engineering and designated Key Skills whilst gaining practical work experience.

Performing Manufacturing Operations

This programme aims to enable learners to develop specific
manufacturing skills, and apply them in practical situations in the workplace. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G).

NVQ Level 1 in Manufacturing

Four core units to be completed including: 

• Contribute to the effectiveness in the organisation 
• Develop and maintain working relationships 
• Contribute to Health & Safety in the workplace. 

Plus one additional unit from a wide selection of topics including:
Manufacturing joined, moulded, formed and finished products. Package products and move materials.

NVQ Level 2 in Manufacturing

• Contribute to the effectiveness in the organisation
• Develop and maintain working relationships
• Contribute to Health & Safety in the workplace
• Organise own work for manufacturing operations
• Control manufacturing operations

Plus one additional unit from a wide selection of topics including:
Using computer controlled equipment and confirming quality of production.

Apprenticeships in Engineering

The programme offers young people the opportunity to achieve National Accredited qualifications in Engineering and designated Key Skills whilst gaining
practical work experience. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships or Workplaced Learning (T2G).

NVQ Level 2

• Working safely in an engineering environment
• Developing yourself and working with others on engineering activities
• Using and communicating technical information

At least one general support unit from a choice of five. Plus four optional units from a choice of thirty two, matched to work based practice.

NVQ Level 3

• Establishing work requirements
• Preparing resources for complex engineering activities
• Communicating and self-development
• Implementing continuous improvement
• Reinstating the work area

Plus from one to seven additional units depending on the qualification, from a wide selection, covering most branches of engineering.

Animal Care

This programme aims to enable learners to develop specific skills in the
care of animals and apply them to practical situations in the workplace. This programme can be accessed through Apprenticeships, Workplaced Learning (T2G) or Foundation Learning.

Learners follow an approved framework of training at Level 2 or Level 3 that will meet the different needs of both small and large organisations. They can follow different routes including Pet Care and Retail or Animal Welfare.
The framework consists of:
A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Animal Care at Level 2 or/then Level 3 awarded by City and Guilds.

Lantra

Candidates must be at least 17 years old, with at least 5 GCSE’s, grade C or above; including Maths, English & Science – or equivalent. Candidates must also be working in a RCVS accredited training practice.

NVQ Level 2 in Veterinary Nursing

• Monitor health and safety
• Develop personal performance and maintain working relationships
• Carry out veterinary reception duties
• Manage clinical environments for procedures and investigations
• Provide nursing care to animals
• Monitor and care for inpatients to a veterinary practice
• Support clients in caring for animals

NVQ Level 3 in Veterinary Nursing

• Perform laboratory diagnostic tests
• Administer veterinary specialised nursing to animals
• Prepare for diagnostic imaging equipment techniques and conduct radiography on animals
• Prepare for veterinary surgical procedures
• Assist the veterinary surgeon during surgical procedures
• Assist the provision of anaesthetics to animals
• Dispense and administer veterinary medication

Day release for 36 weeks for one day a week to cover the underpinning knowledge and preparation for completing on line test at Levels 2 and 3 and practical tests at Level 3.

Veterinary Nursing Assessment Centre (VNAC)

ProCo is an RCVS approved veterinary nursing assessment centre. We are responsible for registering learners for awards and for delivering the training and assessment of qualifications in accordance with national requirements.

We support a number of practices through:

Initial TP Visit and Approval - £50
IV time - £25 per hour and 40p per mile
Free A1 training to the value of £550 (student must be attending ProCo for course provision and A1 completed within 9 months)

Foundation Learning

Foundation Learning at ProCo. offers high quality vocational learning and support for young people who may be finding it difficult to start a career.

Foundation Learning aims to help 16-18 year-olds who aren’t certain about their career choices or who don’t have the experience, skills or qualifications to start an Apprenticeship, college course or job.

Foundation Learning programmes are designed to suit the learner and will involve activities such as acquiring the skills they need at work, including basic reading, writing and
number work if necessary, Key Skills such as working as part of a team, and finding and applying for jobs.

The programme can also includes work experience, and in-house vocational workshops in Construction and Motor Vehicle. We aim to progress all learners into; Apprenticeships, Employment, or full-time courses at Level 2.
