Train to Gain

Free staff training to help your business grow.

ProCo NW Ltd. provides Train to Gain, a national programme funded by the Learning and Skills Council, to hundreds of businesses a year. The service provides work-based training to improve employees’ skills and make the businesses more competitive.

Train to Gain can play a major part in reducing skill shortages and increase productivity and staff retention rates. Train to Gain is flexible, responsive to your needs and offered at a time and place to suit you – many companies choose to carry out training on their own premises.

Train to Gain services can be accessed in a number of ways:

  • Free training is available to help employees gain their Level 2 NVQ qualification, including statutory qualifications.
  • A wide range of training, including Basic Skills at Level 2, and Level 3 qualifications can also be delivered.
  • Companies with less than 50 employees may be eligible for support with meeting wage costs to cover the cost of time spent training.

Train to Gain can help your business by:

  • Identifying the skills your business needs
  • Assessing your current employees against these skills
  • Pin-pointing the right training to help you address your skills needs
  • Designing a training package tailored to your business
