Level 2 Maintenance Operations Apprenticeship

For those interested in a career in repair and refurbishment, this apprenticeship is ideal for continuing to develop your skills and knowledge of building maintenance.

This qualification helps prepare you for work in the construction industry, with a specific focus on building maintenance.

Course content

You will learn about the industry, including the principles of constructing buildings, and about the types of information used in building design and construction.

In addition to this you will also learn about health, safety and environmental issues faced on construction sites, and how to communicate with others on the job.

The practical skills you will learn include:

  • Carrying out small-scale building repairs
  • Carrying out small-scale painting and decorating repairs
  • Carrying out small-scale plastering repairs
  • Carrying out small-scale plumbing repairs
  • Carrying out carpentry repairs
